Our Club

This club was founded in 2009 and has continued to grow, expand and develop. Each individual member of the club has an important role to play and each individual member has the right to develop how they would like and be given the opportunity to realise their full potential.

IBGC is about more than gymnastics. We are a family, a community. We were awarded North Ayrshire Sports Club of the Year 2015, UK Sports Club of the Year in 2014,  2012 winners of the North Ayrshire Provost’s Civic Pride Award for Sport, voted Scotland’s Friendliest Club, Runners Up in Scottish Gymnastics Club of the Year 2015, Runners Up in Cream Of Ayrshire Contribution to the Community and are a GymMark accredited club.

This national accreditation means you can be assured that IBGC is safe, child friendly and effective.

As such we are regularly inspected and approved, All our coaches are safely recruited, properly trained and PVG registered.

We would like to thank you for choosing Irvine Bay Gymnastics Club. We like to think we are the friendliest, hardest working club in gymnastics and we hope you will soon feel the same. In the club hand book you will find a list of questions that are most frequently asked, a who’s who of people you will see around the club, a copy of our codes of conduct, your registration forms, a timetable and price list.

All members who join Irvine Bay GC MUST become member of Scottish Gymnastics. This membership to your national governing body ensures that each participant is fully insured for the activities they undertake. In addition, membership of Scottish Gymnastics means that members can enter all Scottish Gymnastics events and competitions and receive regular updates about upcoming events and opportunities for members.

When starting with the club we invite all members to take part in our beginners’ or general classes. Gymnasts will then be advised on the next appropriate step for them. This may be an improvers class, or competitive squads in acrobatics, rhythmic, tumbling or teamgym. We offer a huge range of classes for all and there will be something to suit everyone. Whether it’s the camaraderie of display team, the tumbling of teamgym, balancing in acro, competing in floor and vault or keeping fit and making friends. Irvine Bay accepts all gymnasts regardless of age, ability, boys and girls, mums and dads.  All we ask is that all participants turn up on time, work hard, listen closely, pay fees on time, respect everyone equally and HAVE FUN!

We have regular fundraising activities and social events and would invite everyone to take part and join in.

We hope you enjoy your days with Irvine Bay,

Please note we operate a ZERO TOLERANCE policy on jewellery, including any piercings, in line with Scottish Gymnastics and British Gymnastics policy.
